Bio:
Ernesto was born on April 30, 1955 in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico. At the
age of 8, his father left the family, and he became the sole provider for his
mother, four siblings, as well as himself. From shoe-shining, to janitor, to
vendor of food, he struggled very hard to make ends meet for his family. Then
at the age of 13, Ernesto shoe-shined at a poolroom, and that was when he was
first introduced to the game. The first time Ernesto played, he played for both
money and love of the game. From that point one Ernesto practiced every morning
determined to become skilled in the game. After a small break from pool in order
to support his family, Ernesto moved to California at the age of 19 to regaining
playing the game he loved and to better his current situation. .
Coming to the United States was a difficult experience for him. Learning from
great players he improved dramatically. He has now been playing professionally
for 26 years. One of Ernesto’s greatest skills and what has set him apart
from others is how he has become one of the premier pool table mechanics in
the country.
Ernesto is once again supporting a family that consists of his wife Maria of
28 years, along with his two twin sons, Ernesto and Alonso, and youngest son
Oscar.
